It is time to know God.It is time to know God - GOD - G-D - Yahweh - Jehovah - I AM. We Christians today in New Zealand have a candy cane God, a give me God, a semi angry loving God, a sweet kind God, a God of colour and language, a God of shape and form and worse a weak God. That is not a nice statement; I’ll give one that is even worse - Fear the God who can kill both body and soul. Forget the babble we produce and know this one statement - In the beginning God created... God said... God made... God declared... God finished... God divided and God destroyed, God choose and God divorced, God lead and God conquered, and in the end if God so wills it HE will be the only one lift standing and alive. Fear God. The one statement - GOD is (always) first and last. The Almighty Sufficient Living God I remember the path the Holy Spirit led me through to understanding and it first included the Awesomeness of God. God created, Take off your sandals, the people feared and trembled at the voice of God. The stories and people Enoch, Samson, Jacob, Job, Jonah, Jeremiah, Micah. Before I finished the Old Testament I knew God was Holy and I was not. I knew He cared and didn t care about color or language, how tall, short, ugly or pretty someone was, or how smart or rich or poor. God who set the boundaries of the seas and the paths of the Planets, who laid the foundation of the World really does care for man. And there is nothing man has to offer God but acknowledgement with our whole mind, heart, and soul. First and foremost for us to know is He is God. God himself said they well know I am their God and they are my people. Those of us born of the Spirit by faith know with surety our hope is not in vain. No matter how bad it gets or how good it is we acknowledge the Almighty Creator Father with praise and thanksgiving. That types and reads as though it is easy, it is not, I am in a body that is falling apart I have to remind myself I am young in spirit and constantly growing in the Lord. I struggle to keep my mind under control and my tongue flaps freely if not guarded ever second. I work a job that is not conducive to study (my heart s desire) and never associated in terms with a Christian lifestyle. But the Lord has placed me here because it keeps me in check of judging and constantly causes me to rely on Him. I would rather teach from strength but I cannot because I know my own failings and failures so I teach from His strength. I have nothing to share or give to others but what has been given to me by the grace of God through Jesus in His Spirit that lives in and with those of faith. God is first and last. We’ve become victims of 'I' The number one door opener for satan is 'I'. Every King that God defeated and dethroned was a victim of I. Eve and Adam were victims of I. We falter and stumble because of I and many will not accept God because of I. Jesus said follow me; name one instance Jesus put himself first, even in his I am statements God is first. He served not from what can I do but from what does God want. He was the first since Adam to call God Father, even Abba, Father. Read Romans 8:15; Gal.4:6 carefully, it is not because of I you can call God Abba, Father. So it is that this writing encourages you to examine yourself to know God as God and delete the I's in your life. In this I am drawn to Chapter four of Ephesians v.4 - 6 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you too were called to the one hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. (NET) One body, one Spirit... one hope... one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all, through all, and in all. Know God loves you and takes pleasure in you, know God and share him with your life to others because He is first and last in your heart, mind and soul. Know the First and the Last. The gifts he gave were that some would be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until all of us come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to maturity, to the measure of the full stature of Christ. We must no longer be children, tossed to and fro and blown about by every wind of doctrine, by people's trickery, by their craftiness in deceitful scheming. But speaking the truth in love, we must grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by every ligament with which it is equipped, as each part is working properly, promotes the body's growth in building itself up in love.
